The ratmussen started when I got a request in 2009 to build a Rat clone for my good friend Chris Rasmussen of the super-great Seattle rock band Police Teeth. He wanted a version specialized for bass. By choosing slightly bigger coupling caps and picking my favorite clipping diodes, the Rat-style pedal came out much better than I expected.
